Making money online is challenging because the first thing people encounter when they begin is a sea of unscrupulous marketers trying to sell them their system or secret for “how to make money online”. Often these people never made money online aside from selling packages on “how to make money online” to beginners. Many of these newbies in turn start selling the same system to newer newbies. In the end this is really just a like pyramid scheme.

“How do you build meaningful relationships with productive affiliates from a vendor’s point of view?”
This is a very good question. It is vital to maximize success in the relationship between the affiliate and the manager of the affiliate program. This is not a one size fits all answer, as helping you sell golf clubs might be different then affiliates helping you sell memberships to a forum; but in general the approach and principals are the same.
With all this talk about making money online you are probably wondering, “How is it done?”
There are dozens of ways to make money online but the way most people, like you, make money online is via a blog.
a) What is a blog?
A blog is a website on which you can post articles about a given topic. Most blogs use a free software called WordPress. If applicable you can also offer a forum, a Facebook page or more if you think user participation would be beneficial.
Why do we have affiliate links?
An ‘affiliate link’ is a special URL that contains your unique affiliate ID (or Network Affiliate ID when working with a network). You use them when driving traffic to a particular place. Vendors use affiliate links to track who sent traffic to their websites. This is how they know to whom to credit a sale. As an affiliate, you will use these links as part of your advertising efforts be they through social networking sites, pay per click ads, your own website, etc.

Every super affiliate uses software tools to help automate or increase the productivity of certain tasks. Additionally, in many cases super affiliates develop their own tools. My advise to newbies is to always be a “cheap bastard” until you understand why you are spending your money. Most likely you will need every penny in your bank account to become a super affiliate.
